Being able to share and live our faith in fellowship at a Christian school creates awesome opportunities for our students to grow and mature in their faith. There are several Bible verses about sharing and living faith in fellowship with one another including Colossians 3:15-17 which says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” NIV
Serving others and connecting with the world at large is also a focus so that students at Cornerstone are not naive to the ways of our world. Students at Cornerstone are encouraged to believe, learn, act and grow, all through an understanding that we are created to be an influence in the world.

Cornerstone Christian Academy is a non-denominational Christian school and has students from many different denominations represented by local Christian churches and Christian faith communities.

Faith is built into the school’s programs in numerous ways. Every morning students begin the day with Bible class which includes devotions, prayers, and lessons and chapel services are also held once a week. In all of the school’s activities, including classes, faith is seen as an integral part of who we are and is therefore an integral part of what we do.

Cornerstone Christian Academy is all about partnership – working together to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

The Cornerstone Christian Academy Board, which consists of CCA parents, owns the building and the busses. In addition, the CCA Board hires the school principal and works with him to ensure the integrity of faith education at the school. School fees cover transportation expenses, curriculum materials, building costs and are used in many other ways to make up the difference between what the school recieves in educational funding and what it actually costs to run a school.

All Cornerstone parents are encouraged to become involved in volunteer opportunities, fundraising and other activities to support their children and the school.

Cornerstone Christian Academy has a four-day school week, so for most weeks, the school is only open Monday-Thursday. To maintain the four-day week, on weeks where Monday is a holiday, school is open on Friday. To ensure the school meets Alberta Education requirements for instructional hours, classes start earlier in the morning, end later in the afternoon, and there is a shorter lunch period.
